About

One watch. That’s the whole plan.

WATCHDOG exists because the watches worth wearing got bigger and the ones worth collecting got more expensive, and somewhere in there the 35mm automatic just disappeared. Not discontinued for a reason. Just quietly abandoned.

This is one person with a CAD file, a Miyota 9039, and the stubbornness to see it through. The WD-1 is a 35mm automatic with a lacquered sunburst dial, heat-blued hands, and sapphire front and back. Every spec is a choice, not a compromise and not a default.

There’s no brand heritage here because the brand started last year. There’s no team photo because there’s no team. What there is: a watch that doesn’t exist yet and should, being built in the open so you can decide for yourself whether it’s worth it.
